West Virginia surplus in January at $136.8M; record $530.6M surplus reported for FY 2022

CHARLESTON, W.Va (WV NEWS) — West Virginia’s January budget surplus was $136.8 million, 29.4% ahead of January 2021, according to Gov. Jim Justice.

The Fiscal Year 2022 total surplus now stands at $530.6 million, a record, Justice said.

“We continue to set more and more and more records every single month as far as what our collections are, what our revenues are,” Justice said.
